Mission: Maximize the Impact of Harvard Cancer Research on Our Communities
Massachusetts is one of the healthiest states in the US. With more residents covered by health insurance and higher levels of education and income compared to the country, Massachusetts continues to improve the health of individuals across the state, especially as it relates to cancer care. However, even with such strides, disparities in cancer care, access to treatment services, and outcomes continue to grow in Massachusetts.
The mission of the DF/HCC Center for Cancer Equity and Engagement is to reduce cancer burden and inequity for all Massachusetts residents. As a project of our work, the Massachusetts Cancer Data Commons is created with this goal in mind; to provide quick and easy access to Massachusetts-specific cancer data and resources. We hope that you will find the information and tools on our site useful in your quest both to understand and improve cancer in Massachusetts.
